Bad News: Last FM goes paid
Well, it was too good to be true to begin with! Now you have to pay 3 euros/month to listen to Last FM's radio, except for Germany, USA and UK... I guess it is time to switch to a new free content provider :D

25 things about me
This a note that I wrote on facebook because of a chain tagging thingy...
Here we go...
1) First of all thank you Arzu for giving me another excuse to ignore my paper which is due on wednesday and I haven't even started reading a thing!
2) Speaking excuses, I get very crafty when I have to study... I do everything to aviod it, I cook, my room never looks better...
3) I never realised I was afraid of heights until I started climbing down from Butterfly Valley, I couldn't stop my legs from shaking and couldn't breathe for a while
4)Here I confess, I am a big nerd but just trying to cover it... what kind of a girl repairs desktop PC's?(not just software, I also fix hardware) I guess that's why I chose to study social sciences, to avoid being a bigger nerd!( you may know what I mean if you ever seen my pictures from when I was 14!!) But at least I am a nerd with social skills and somewhat with a taste of clothing
5) I watch japanese animes(nerd alert!!!) I sure watched around 10 movies by Miyazaki, I am also a big fan of Bleach... I blame Sedef and especially Burcu for dragging me into this mass!!
6) I follow around 25 american series on a weekly basis.. I am quite shocked that I find time to do other things!
7) I am really afraid of fast moving objects, especially balls. I don't suck at volleyball or basketball not because I am not capable, but because I duck everytime they throw the ball towards me!
8) I may be seen as a good dancer when it comes to clubs, but I suck big time at contemporary dance, yet I tried learning it for 3 years!
9) Many of you have no idea that I can't run fast and for long because I am flat-footed! It was a nightmare as a child, I was always the looser in chasing games!
10) I like watching football only when there is a team I support. Otherwise it seems a little non-sense to watch it...
11) I am never satisfied with normal when it comes to food and drinks, no wonder some friends call me 'Zevk Hayvanı'(it means sth like pleasure animal, wow it sounds dirty!) I luv cooking and inventing my own recipies!(damn, I would be a good housewife if I wanted to, but hell NO!)
12) When I first started photography(I guess I was 15 then), I didn't have much idea how to handle a manuel camera, my first good photos were all out of luck!
13)Even if I was born in Izmir, I didn't grow up in Izmir, but in Manisa(but my grandfather's hometown is Izmir, that makes me 'officially' from Izmir) which is half an hour away from Izmir. Even though I never liked the city center, our neighbourhood was covered with grass and trees, there were fields right behind it where we were stealing fruits and vegetables from... We moved to Izmir when I was on 5th grade, and I got into depression because I downgraded from surrounded with friends to no friends, it took me 3 years to get used to living there...
14) I love Izmir but I couldn't stand it for more than 3 weeks because it started to feel small after 3 weeks compared to Istanbul.. Imagine the irony, I moved to an even smaller city in Sweden! Boring!!!!
15) As of yesterday, I officially hate songs in Swedish! They all sound alike, and they all have a 'eurovision song' kinda melody
16) I am a big fan of technology, even if I don't have enough money, I save up to get the latest technology...
17) I seriously believe that gadgets have souls(maybe I just watch too much Battlestar Galactica) No wonder my ipod refuses to work when I am not around. And my desktop, it is one of a kind, it refuses to work properly unless I convince it.Now that I left it in Turkey, it won't work properly for a few weeks!
18)My friends behave me as if I was an encyclopedia and ask so much stuff! Do I look that smart? because I am not!
19) I luv travelling so much, I can travel for years and never get bored of it! My dream husband is a great travel mate, and never wants to settle down(and I don't know if he exists)
20) Settling down scares me so much, that's one of the reasons I escaped from Turkey to Sweden, and left my job and apatment! My grandmother expects me to get married and have children as soon as I go back, she has no I idea I would run away screaming!
21) romance.. not my thing! I also hate poems! They don't mean a thing to me unless they are used in a song!
22) I am a big realist, except my master's application! never have written something that idealistic in my whole life!
23) I have no religion, but I believe in God, I guess that makes me a Deist. I respect the believers, but religion was exploited so long for personal gains, I can't see a reason to believe. But I believe in Karma.
24) I believe in Karma so much, I believe I can't hold on to any relationship because I made so many boys suffer in the past!
25)I am not a nationalist but some people are pushing my nerves so hard, I am afraid I will become a cheezy nationalist by the time I leave Sweden!

Last.fm
Last.fm makes it possible to create your playlists using the songs from its huge database. It is almost impossible not to find the song you are looking for. It also gives information about the artist and album.
If you find a song for the first time, it will probably let you listen only a song preview of 30 seconds. But if you add it to your library or favourites, next time will be a full length.(you need at least 20 songs in order to play your library) It is also possible to create some sort of radio station by choosing your favourite artist, last.fm plays songs from similar artists.
You can either listen from the website, the last.fm application downloadable from the website. This program also will let you syncronize your music in your computer with your last.fm library, this feature is called 'Scrobbling'.
For firefox users here is an awesome add-on called fire.fm, lets you listen directly from a toolbar on your browser, change stations or even listen to your friends' libraries.

Nutsie.com, listen to your own itunes playlists online
I felt in love with the idea as soon as I heard about it, it goes with the slogan 'Free your iTunes'
All you have to do is to save your iTunes library by exporting it, then you upload it to Nutsie, and voila! Nutsie matches the songs in your playlists with the ones in database and now you can listen them anywhere you go!
But there are a few tricks to it. First you have to be an iTunes user, you have to own an organized library, and properly tagged songs(with proper song titles, album name and artist), so that Nutsie can match them. It sure doesn't work with turkish songs, since they are not on the database.
Here is my account, you can also listen to my playlists :D, the list is on the left column. It is also possible to add new songs, listen to top 100 songs on iTunes, or mix your playlists with Nutsie recommendations.

Streaming Turkish Radios
Listen to radio on your native language wherever you are in the world
Missing good old days when you used to listen radio all the time? Are you abroad and cannot listen to your favourite radios from your home country? Here is a brilliant idea thanks to technology!
Nowadays most of the popular radio stations have radio streaming options on their websites. But it is very time consuming to store all those websites and surf from one page to another just to change the channel. Most of the media players make it possible to stream radios by simply entering an url.
For Turkish radios, here is a sample playlist with more than 50 popular Turkish radios, you may open it with Winamp, Windows Media Player or MediaMonkey. You may simply add new urls to the playlist or refresh the links by editing items on playlist. Radios frequently change their straming url's.
